Health and Safety
The DEMAT Board of Trustees as the employer has overall responsibility for health and safety in schools, but tasks are delegated to school leaders. This is set out in non-statutory advice on health and safety from the Department for Education (DfE).
To ensure DEMAT is meeting its legal responsibilities, it has put in place a Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Statement documents apply to all DEMAT academies and the Central Team which can be accessed in the Policies section of this website.
